NOW:
A contemporary spiritual biblical midwife, Prophetess Angelique has been divinely chosen to the maternal child sphere of influence. She also operates as a modern day Nehemiah in the City of Chicago and other cities as seen in Nehemiah 2:10 “there come a man to see the welfare of the children of Israel.” The prophetic vision for the children of Precious Jewels Moms Ministries is found in Isaiah 61:9 “And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their off-spring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the Lord hath blessed”
BELIEFS:
Prophetess Angelique has a heart’s desire to see a shift occur as it relates to mothering the next generation of children. This world will shift from darkness to light when women to become every day Christ embodied wives and mothers.
THE EARLY DAYS:
Baptize in the Name of Jesus at the age of 12 at a local south side church, Angelique began a timely relationship with the Lord. It was under that Pastor’s Shepherding she believes gave her the spiritual and natural direction to become a Registered Nurse. That Pastor Shepherd was Bishop Horace E. Smith MD.
THE MOTHER
The steps of the righteous man are ordered by the Lord. Prior to getting married and having children Angelique was drawn to a book series called “Countering the Conspiracy to destroy Black Boys” by Dr. Jawanza Kunjufu. The book provided great wisdom for raising African American boys. Miraculous Angelique gave birth to two boys. She always believed her children were like acorns which required shielding and wisdom to grow. She felt very strongly about mothering from the day they were born. Both of her sons were breastfed. They are now adults.
PROFESSIONALLY
Angelique completed her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 1992. She received her Masters of Science in Nursing with honors from Saint Xavier University in 2009. Her passion and strong belief in mothers’ milk led to International Board Certification as a Lactation Consultant (1995, IBCLC). She works as a Clinical Nursing Professor and Childbirth Educator in addition to her ministries duties. A 2015 Living Word School of Ministry Graduate, Angelique is a licensed minister.
THE CALL
In 2005, Angelique felt as if God had rapture her back to Chicago, Illinois. Her soul did not want to return to Chicago. But, she found herself like Elijah where the brook had dried up. God led her to a church home while helping a new mother breastfed. The new mother attended Living Word Christian Center. She gave Angelique a warning “the people God’s sends me are called into ministry”. Angelique laughed in disbelief. When she arrived at Living Christian May 2008, she was led to randomly sit down in a chair in the Fellowship Hall. The Holy Spirit said “Turn around”. As Angelique turned, she saw NURSING MOTHERS ROOM. A nursing mother’s room is a room where mothers who are breastfeeding can go sit in to watch and hear the Pastor’s live Sunday or Wednesday Sermon. The Holy Spirit then said to Angelique “What you are doing is Ministry”. Angelique never saw a church with a Nursing Mothers Room. Few minutes later God sent a Pastoral Care leader to confirm what the Holy Spirit spoke to Angelique. He informed Angelique at this Church they have Ministers that oversee the mother and babies in the Nursing Mothers Room. Today, Angelique is one of those Ministers who oversee the Nursing Mothers Room. God has led Angelique to go further in birthing God vision for mothers in the earth through Precious Jewels Moms Ministries.
